Book Review #24: Linger

Linger (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #2)Title: Linger.
Author: Maggie Stiefvater.
Format: Paperback.
Series: Wolves of Mercy Falls series.
Publisher: Scholastic
Published Date: July 13, 2010.

Summary:

"In Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other. Now, in Linger, they must fight to be together. For Grace, this means defying her parents and keeping a very dangerous secret about her own well-being. For Sam, this means grappling with his werewolf past . . . and figuring out a way to survive into the future. Add into the mix a new wolf named Cole, whose own past has the potential to destroy the whole pack. And Isabelle, who already lost her brother to the wolves . . . and is nonetheless drawn to Cole.
At turns harrowing and euphoric, Linger is a spellbinding love story that explores both sides of love -- the light and the dark, the warm and the cold -- in a way you will never forget."

Cover Opinion: 5/5
I love the entire serie's covers! Their all so cool! And what other books have colored font?!

Characters-

Favorite:
I can't just pick on person! I don't really hate any of them. Grace seems down to earth, Sam is a romantic, Isabella has parents that don't treat her like a teen, and Cole who is a rock star with many drug and alcohol problems. Everyone is different, with their own problems, and I feel like everyone who reads this book can at least relate to one of these characters.

Least:
I don't really hate Grace's parents, but they do frustrate me throughout the book. I mean yes they have every right to be mad at Grace for having Sam staying the night. But during the first book, and half of the second book, her parents were like roommates. Always leaving Grace home alone til late at night, sometimes she even states how they don't even remember she lives with them. How can someone who didn't care one bit, all of a sudden turn the tables and become the world's strictest parents!? UGH!

Storyline: 4/5

Now that Sam has finally been "healed" from turning into a wolf, everything seems perfect. Even with this, Sam still has his doubts; always having to remind hims that the treatment will work.

Throughout the book Grace seems to be having a very strong fever, which becomes very serious issue one night when Sam just happens to be staying over. When Grace's parents hear her yelling and become worried they come rushing into the room and notice that Sam's sitting on her bed.

As Grace is being worse, Sam is becoming more worried for her. What are the chances of Grace becoming or even being forced into becoming a werewolf? Pretty high(:

I really enjoyed this book overall, but it was kind of slow until about the last ten chapters:/
