I'm still finishing up Pure, from last week, so I didn't want to skip or re-read about it. But I'm also reading Frankenstein for my English class at school, which isn't too exciting for a YA blogger, so I decided to pick what I'm actually listening to....CINDER by Melissa Meyer!
Basically it's a retelling of Cinderella, which should be pretty obvious not only by the title, but also by the cover! But instead, this time, Cinder is a robot, she's in the future, and she's trying to find her prince charming, and survive her step mom and step sisters!
I'm not to far into it yet, so I'll just give you the summary!(:
"Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. . . .
Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future."
