In My Mailbox #6

About two hours ago, I started writing this post. When my dad walked in and said our local Borders was closing, and asked me if I wanted to check it out! I couldn't turn this down, but when we finally arrived, almost everything was gone:/
I was a little disappointed, but a great Half Price book store is located right across the street from Borders, so we went there too(:
I got three awesome books this week!:D

Clarity, by Kim Harrington.

"In Eastport, a tourist town on Cape Cod, lives a family of freaks. My family. I'm a psychic. My brother's a meduim. My mother's a telepath. Tourists love us. Townies scorn us. We live in a grand Victorian house with no permanent ghosts, and we use the first floor for our business: readings. Not the bookstore kind."
-Barnes and Noble.

Faking 19, by Alyson Noel.

"On the surface, seventeen-year-old Alex has it made. She's beautiful and smart, she's best friends with M, the most popular girl in school. Feeling bored with their fancy Orange County suburban town, Alex and M decide to check out L.A.'s glitzy nightlife scene.
Pretending to be nineteen, Alex and M meet Trevor and Connor, two rich older guys. At first, Alex can't believe her luck-she gets to hangout at hip Hollywood house parties and downtown L.A. clubs. These weekend trips into the city become the perfect distraction for Alex, who is secretly struggling with her failing senior-year grades, her absentee father, and her clueless mother.
But after the initial fun wears off for Alex, she is forced to reevaluate her friendship with M, who is hiding some secrets beneath her perfect Burberry-clad exterior..."
-Barnes and Noble.

Once a Witch, by Carolyn MacCullough.

"Tamsin Greene comes from a long line of witches, and she was supposed to be one of the most Talented among them. But Tamsin's magic never showed up. Now seventeen, Tamsin attends boarding school in Manhattan, far from her family. But when a handsome young professor mistakes her for her very Talented sister, Tamsin agrees to find a lost family heirloom for him. The search—and the stranger—will prove to be more sinister than they first appeared, ultimately sending Tamsin on a treasure hunt through time that will unlock the secret of her true identity, unearth the sins of her family, and unleash a power so vengeful that it could destroy them all. This is a spellbinding display of storytelling that will exhilarate, enthrall, and thoroughly enchant."
-Barnes and Noble.

  1. Awesome books! I just finished Clarity last night (well, technically 2 AM this morning), and it was GOOD. As for Faking 19, I didn't know any Alyson Noel novels outside of her Immortals series, but it sounds cute! Happy reading. :)
