My Thoughts:

Recently I've been on a Kiersten White reading high! I absolutely love the characters she creates and the way they develop throughout her stories, it seems like I can't get enough of them! ADDICTED!

Mind Games follows two sisters, Annie and Fia, who have lost their parents to a car accident. Annie is blind, but has the ability to see visions of the future, while Fia has flawless instincts. Annie to this day, still blames herself for the death of her parents; she saw the car crash in one of her visions, and didn't warn her parents in time to prevent it from happening.

When their parents passed away, Annie was offered a spot in this "special school", for girls with her abilities. No matter how uncomfortable and unsure Fia felt about this offer, she decided to agree and come along for her sister. Since she was young, Fia was told by her parents that she was her older sister's protector; she was never going to let Annie go alone, when she knew something wasn't right about this school.

After years of attending, the two sisters quickly learned that this "special school", was using girls and their abilities (seeing visions, hearing thoughts, feeling emotions) for corporate espionage. Without any powers, Fia was used for completely different work; she even called herself the "hands of the school".

While Annie is locked on a floor in the school building under constant watch, Fia is forced to take on missions, which can sometimes include getting rid of people (hence, the "hands of the school"), like her most current one.

Fia is on the look out for a guy named Adam, she doesn't know why Keane, the owner of the school, wants her to get rid of him; she's never allowed to know, she's only supposed to get the job done. But when she sees Adam helping out a small dog tied to a poll, she can't get herself to do it, and decides to confess, and let him go.

It's the first time Fia doesn't follow orders, and she knows the consequences if Keane finds out what she's done; Annie may be hurt. But she's tired of doing all the dirty work, and she wants to escape with Annie, out of this hell hole. Even if it means having to lie, cheat, fake Adam's death, and murder...her own sister...

Final Verdict:

With this Kiersten White reading kick, I've been on, I was dying to get started with Mind Games! I had already read a good review or two...or three...or A LOT! And was excited to see what everyone seemed to be talking about!

And Kiersten White did it again, get hit this one out of the ballpark!

Let's get started with my favorite part, the characters! Annie and Fia were absolutely AWESOME! Annie was the older sister, and was much more calm and collected when it came to things. While I liked that about her, I think she was only this way, because throughout most of the book she had no idea what Keane was making Fia do outside of the school walls.

Fia on the other hand was the complete opposite, she was the younger sister (by two years, I think) but felt like she was the protector of her sister, and was willing to do all those things Keane made her do, to keep Annie save. Fia did as she was asked, but she also had this IDGAF attitude, which was completely bad...butt? and I liked it!

There were also a few minor characters that played roles in Mind Games, for example James, Keane's son, who I'm still not sure how I feel about, and Eden who was the only friend Annie had. Both James and Eden didn't have too much to do in Mind Games, expect annoy Fia, but they play much more important roles in Perfect Lies! *zips lips*

If I had to admit one bad thing about Mind Games, it would be that I felt the beginning of the story was confusing. Not only is the story switching perspectives from one sister to the next, but also from the present to the past! I didn't realize this until about ten chapters in...I knew it was switching back and forth with perspectives, but I wasn't sure why this chapters were connecting to me...Opps?!

Overall the story was amazing! The entire idea behind a school using girls with this super powers for corporate espionage was SO interesting, I bet there's probably people who really do this too!

Don't even get me started on the ending of Mind Games, because my brains is still mush! What a mind blowing ending, I can't believe how this turned out!! I never saw it coming, and....just WOW!

If you get the chance to pick up Mind Games, I recommend you DO! BUT BEWARE!! Chapters aren't just taking place in the present, but also go back to the past!
