Cover:

The covers in this series are, all so pretty! I love me some, white covers; they're just really clean and a beautiful. The series itself is called L.A. Candy, so I also really liked that they incorporated the "candy" in to the covers. And they look great in my shelf; which is a big plus(:

My Opinion:

Lauren Conrad? From the show, The Hills? She writes?

Yeah, she does! I didn't believe it either. I know this might seem harsh, or mean, but I didn't expect to much from L.A. Candy.

A few weeks back, I read Hilary Duff's Elixir, again not expecting too much from it. But Elixir, had my attention within the first few pages, and didn't let go until the last! I just loved it, I didn't know that Hilary Duff could write that good; she definitely proved me wrong! This was the exact same thing with L.A. Candy.

The story line itself is pretty obvious, since it's pretty much Lauren Conrad's story. Her and her best friend go to LA, one for a internship and the other to goes to school. While Elixir had my attention throughout the ENTIRE story, L.A. Candy did not. I'm not sure if it was because I just happen to be reading it during class, or what. But some parts were, not boring, but uninteresting; stretched out, just to make the book longer.

But I L.O.V.E.D the beginning and ending of the book! I can't believe how it ended! I raced through the last ten chapters just to see how the "scandal" would end! Don't tell anyone this, but I actually ordered the next two books in the series, on my ipod before I even finished reading the last page! Yes, it was really THAT good.

If you have doubts in this series, like I did, just give it a shot. Head to the library and pick it up, so you don't have to spend ten or more dollars on a book you might not like, but at least this way you can give it a try(:

  1. It's good to know that this book turned out to be fantastic, and not silly like I initially thought when I first heard about it. I'll have to check it out, for sure. Great review, thanks for sharing!
