Book Haul!

Welcome to Turning Pages!!

Recently a friend and I decided to head to the Half Price Book's Warehouse sale, about an hour and a half away. I wasn't very sure what the sale would be like, how many people would be there, if they had any YA books from my wishlist, or if it would be a complete disappointment.

But it was....TOTALLY AWESOME!!! After sitting in the car for a little over an hour (no traffic, yaaay!), we arrived at what seemed to be a crowded sale. But after parking the car, and getting a closer look, it wasn't bad at all, and what we saw from the car, wasn't even a third of the entire sale going on.

My friend and I scored amazing titles! I only spend twenty six dollars and got around thirteen books! Can you believe it? And they're all hardback!!

I didn't want to make this book haul too long, so instead I'll break them up into various hauls. Here's the first one!

Intertwined (Intertwined, #1)Intertwined, by Gena Showalter.

"There’s something about the new guy at Crossroads High…

Most sixteen-year-olds have friends. Aden Stone has four human souls living inside him:

One can time travel.
One can raise the dead.
One can possess another human.
One can tell the future.

Everyone thinks he’s crazy, which is why he’s spent his entire life shuffled between mental institutions and juvie. All of that is about to change, however. For months Aden has been having visions of a beautiful girl—a girl who carries centuries-old secrets. A girl who will either save him or destroy him.

Together they’ll enter a dark world of intrigue and danger... but not everyone will come out alive."

Zombie BlondesZombie Blondes, by Brian James.

"From the moment Hannah Sanders arrived in town, she felt there was something wrong.
A lot of houses were for sale, and the town seemed infected by an unearthly quiet. And then, on Hannah’s first day of classes, she ran into a group of cheerleaders—the most popular girls in school.
The odd thing was that they were nearly identical in appearance: blonde, beautiful, and deathly pale.
But Hannah wants desperately to fit in—regardless of what her friend Lukas is telling her: if she doesn’t watch her back, she’s going to be blonde and popular and dead—just like all the other zombies in this town. . . ."

Crusade (Crusade, #1)Crusade, by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie.

"The ultimate battle. The ultimate love. For the past two years, Jenn has lived and trained at Spain’s Sacred Heart Academy Against the Cursed Ones. She is among the few who have pledged to defend humanity or die trying. But the vampires are gaining power, and the battle has only just begun.

Forced to return home after death takes a member of her family, Jenn discovers that San Francisco is now a vampire strong-hold. As a lone hunter apart from her team, Jenn is isolated—and at risk. She craves the company of her fighting partner, Antonio: his protection, his reassurance, his touch. But a relationship with Antonio comes with its own dangers, and the more they share of themselves, the more Jenn stands to lose.

Then Jenn is betrayed by one who was once bound to protect her, causing her to doubt all she had held as true. To survive, Jenn must find the courage to trust herself—and her heart."

Tunnels (Tunnels, #1)Tunnels, by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams.

"14-year-old Will Burrows has little in common with his strange, dysfunctional family. In fact, the only bond he shares with his eccentric father is a passion for archaeological excavation. So when his dad mysteriously vanishes, Will is compelled to dig up the truth behind his disappearance. He unearths the unbelievable: a subterranean society that time forgot. "The Colony" has existed unchanged for a century, but it's no benign time capsule of a bygone era. Because the Colony is ruled by a merciless overclass, the Styx. Will must free his father--is he also about to ignite a revolution?"

Thank you for stopping by, be sure to come back soon and check out what other awesome books I scored!
