My Thoughts:

I finally finished the first book in this series! The Vampire Academy series, is everywhere I go. I see it sitting in shelves at every store I shop at, every blog I read, and every youtuber I watch also has read it. It's about time I'm finally getting around to reading this series!

After months of running away, and being by themselves in the normal human world, Lissa (the Vampire Princess) and Rose (her guardian are caught and dragged back to the Vampire Academy. The Vampire Academy is a boarding school, where vampires and guardians attend school, along side of learning subjects like Math, and Science, they also learn what their purpose and basically what their job will be.

After arriving at the school, Lissa is sent off with no troubles at all, while Rose is charged with being stuck into classes, before and after school training, isn't allowed outside of her room, and most importantly, has the least possible communication with Lissa. You know, in case they decide to run away again.

Throughout the story the two girls, learn that Lissa has developed immense powers, so strong they harm Lissa herself. She can save and bring people back from the dead, but every time she does, a bit of her soul is taken away from her.

A jealous uncle, who would be the next in line to rule, but can't, because he only has little left to live, comes into play. Rose has to protect and save Lissa, not only from her uncle, but also from the new powers Lissa has gained!
