Interview:

1. Describe your book in only ten words.

The Harvesters is fast paced, chilling read with some blood

2. What inspired you to become an author and to write this book?

This book just came to me around the time of Halloween in ’09. A scene and characters just pounced on me and they wouldn’t let me forget them till I wrote them done. Okay, they didn’t let me forget them but they weren’t demanding my attention as much anymore haha. My passion for writing and following self-published authors is what slowly inspired me to become one.

3. Did you already know how you wanted your story to end, or did that come along the way while writing?

It most definitely came along while I was writing. When I first started writing this, back in 2009, I had nothing clear but the first chapter with Ashley’s point of view. After I wrote that I ended up with major writers block up till late 2011 or early 2012.

4. Are any of the characters or their personalities based on real people you know?

Oh I hope not, haha. No, none of the characters. The only one that might would be our main female, Ashley. She probably has a little bit of me in her, though she’s a lot stronger and braver than me.

5. If you could have written any other book/series which would you pick?

From my own work? I wished I was able to publish my very first work which was a YA paranormal (werewolves). But everyone knows your first work is never perfect the first time. But I hope one day to rewrite it completely and then publish it, so it can finally be out there were it belongs.

6. You can take any famous person out to lunch, who would it be and why?

These questions are always the hardest haha. I would have to say Betty White, she seems like a fun person and she’s one that can probably give out great advice.

7. Quick your house is on fire, what are the first three bookish things you grab?

My Marine bookmark (my man gave it to me), my metal bookmark with a charm of the Eiffel Tower (again, a gift from my man haha), my tablet as it has all my Netgalley reads

8. You also have a blog, did that come before or after writing your book?

I started this short in 2009 but didn’t finish it till 2012. I actually found the blogging life from following Keary Taylor’s Blog. She inspired me to start blogging, in 2011, then that led me to start blogging about books in the summer of 2011. So both I guess, before and after haha.

About The Author:

I'm a college student still trying to get a handle of the adult world. When I need to get away from it I lose myself in books, my own writing, and in spending time with my amazing boyfriend which he supports me to no end.

Finding my passion in books has led me to finding a passion in writing my own fictional stories back in 2009, I have turned this into a dream career and going one step further I would love to open up my own book store.
