Summary:

"The year is 2009. Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the movies – nothing changes in the present after his jumps, there’s no space-time continuum issues or broken flux capacitors – it’s just harmless fun.
That is… until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he’s stuck in 2007 and can’t get back to the future.
Desperate to somehow return to 2009 to save Holly but unable to return to his rightful year, Jackson settles into 2007 and learns what he can about his abilities.
But it’s not long before the people who shot Holly in 2009 come looking for Jackson in the past, and these “Enemies of Time” will stop at nothing to recruit this powerful young time-traveler. Recruit… or kill him.
Piecing together the clues about his father, the Enemies of Time, and himself, Jackson must decide how far he’s willing to go to save Holly… and possibly the entire world."

Cover:

Covers on ARCs, aren't always final!

I'm not sure, if this one is or isn't, but I reeeeally like! I usually don't like covers, with just characters on it, but the way their falling, trying to reach for one another, and the thunder storm behind them, looks amazing!

I'm honestly, LOVIN' it(:

Story Line:

What would you do if you could time travel? Go to the future, and get the winning lottery numbers? Go back to that last history class, that you napped through, so you won't fail your next quiz? Maybe even go back in time to visit a loved one who passed away? Or possibly even save them?

Jackson has the ability to do all that...well as long as the time period is within his life time.

*Sorry, but these next few lines are huge spoilers!*
After finding out he could travel back more than a week, his dad is in the CIA, he never really had a mom, and there are more time travelers just like him, Jackson has a much bigger mission than he thought he did. His life is falling apart, from losing his sister years ago, to losing his family, his girlfriend, and lastly the time zone he lives in.

I love Jackson! He seems like he has a rough outer shell, but when it comes to Holly (his girlfriend) he's the sweetest guy! Just the things he says to her, and the way he treats her, was really cute!

Even though the ending was confusing me a bit, it was my favorite part. Jackson really opened up towards Holly, and told her exactly what he felt and thought.

The only thing, I was a little sad about was that we didn't get to know more about Jackson and Courtney's past, more about their "mom", and how they came to be. But this is only the first book, in a trilogy, so maybe we'll get to know more later in the series!

Thank you St. Martins Press, I really enjoyed reading Tempest! I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy, and see the movie!:D
