Keeping Things Updated

Turning Pages has been around for a few years now, and I've learned so much over time. From comments, to writing posts, all the way to staying connected through social media. But even with so much time having past and so much practice, I still have the hardest time keeping things up to date.

What do I mean by that?

I mean my Goodreads page (my wish lists, my to be read lists, my reviews, my current reads), occasionally my Twitter (tweeting each new post), but mostly my review list pages on this blog. I enjoyed doing all three, but I'm not as consistent as I wish I could be.

My dream would be to completely up to date, to log on and not feel overwhelmed by how many housekeeping things that need to get done, and to feel like I'm properly using each site to it's full advantage.

....I'm nowhere near that point...

I tend to always push this organization back, and would rather start working on new content instead...even though I know just how important it is, and how much harder it gets to do, when I'm falling farther and farther behind.

Besides that, I NEED to DESPERATELY clean my bookshelves, and organize my books.

I haven't figure out how to do anything of that just yet. But I hope to get this done soon.

Are you guys dealing with these same issues? Or is it just me? If you have any tips or tricks to keep social media up to date, please feel free to leave them down below!

  1. I am still trying to figure out a solid plan for all that too. It seems like there is always something to catch up on. I have started using HootSuite (the free version) and it helps because you can schedule the social media posts. I haven't developed a habit of using it like I should (yet) but I'm working on it.

    1. For posting and scheduling, I have my agenda that I also use for school. The hard part for me is to just to keep the social media aspect updated as well. I haven't heard of HootSuite, how does that work? Also I have heard from you in a while! Awesome to see you again ! (:

  2. I am terrible about keeping up with social media. However, I did go through my bookshelves about a week ago in order to clean out some books I had already read and didn't plan on re-reading or to just get rid of books that have been sitting there for years without me reading them. I just had to clean it out otherwise I would be overrun with books!
    Good luck!

    1. I'm actually in the middle of doing that right now, but two bookshelves can be a lot of work and take quite some time to do. Anyways, thank you for your comments, good luck!
