I know IMM is meant to be posted on Sundays, but yesterday was Easter (Happy belated Easter by the way!), and things were way to busy and crazy to sit down, quietly and write a blog post. I mean there was tons of food to be cooked, children to be taken care of, and eggs to be hidden!
But to make up for it, I do have A LOT of books to show you this week! I have been trying to keep low on the whole book buying thing (not a book buying ban, not at all), I just want to get to the books that have been sitting on my shelf unread for way to long. But I was on spring break all last week, and had nothing better to do besides lounge around at home and read, or wonder around a book store.
This week from the library I got...
Angel Burn, by L.A. Weatherly!
The copy I have is the audio book version, but I had originally wanted to read this book, instead of just listen to it. But sadly, I couldn't get my hands on the actual book, so I'll deal with it. I haven't started listening to it yet, but I hope to soon!
I wasn't actually too sure if I wanted to read (or listen) to this book, but I did really enjoy Maggie Stiefvater's Wolves of Mercy Falls series, and decided to give it a try anyways. Have any of you already read The Scorpio Races, I would love to hear your thoughts on it! (Comment!)
And the last book I got this week from the library is...
The Mockingbirds by Daisy Whitney.
I haven't actually read any reviews on this yet, but I have heard good things about it through friends, and just watching IMMs on Youtube. And plus the synopsis sounds amazing!
Next I went to my local Barnes and Nobles, and couldn't help but pick up a few books, that I'm just dying to finally read...
Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz.
I've seen this book, actually this series around so much, that's it's almost creepy! I finally decided to pick it up and give it a shot. I haven't really heard too many people rave about it, but the employee that was helping me at Barnes and Nobles said, she had just finished the series, and was completely and utterly in love with it.
Evernight by Claudia Gray.
It's about time I finally picked up this book! I've been trying to read this series for almost six months now, and every time I go out and buy one of the books in the series (that I think, at the time, is the first one), always ends up being the second or third, instead of the first!
Lastly from Barnes and Nobles I picked up...
Cinder by Marissa Meyer.
We all know I already listened to this book on audio, and LOVED it! Seriously I couldn't stop talking about it for the longest time! Going to the book store this time, I had a few extra bucks (from mowing the lawn, man it was hot!) and decided it was time for a decent giveaway at Turning Pages. Make sure to check out the giveaway!
At Costco, my mommas got me...
Crossed by Ally Condie!
My mom doesn't really ever buy me books, not because she doesn't want me reading or blogging, but she's a strong believer in reading all of your books before buying new ones. But going to Costco one day, innocently skimming the book table, I noticed Crossed laying there, one copy! I snatched it right up, and ran after my mom, smiling jumping and screaming....thinking about it, I'm sure she only bought it to get me to stop making a scene...
Lastly, I got two books in the mail this week...
The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting!
Kimberly Derting was so nice, and sent me a ARC and a few of her stickers and bookmarks (look out for a giveaway soon!). I loved The Body Finder, and The Desires of the Dead, so I can't wait to jump into this one!
A Touch Morbid, by Leah Clifford.
This copy isn't actually mine, it's just a book I need to read and send back to Amber @ Me, My Shelf and I. It's just a book tour I'm a part of, so make sure to come back and check that out, and make sure to stop by at Amber's blog; it's A-mazing!
Comment down below, leaving a link to your IMM, I would love to see what you got this week!!(:
The Shiver series is one of my favorite series but I also really enjoyed The Scorpio Races. The Last Echo was for me, the best in The Body Finder series. I hope that you enjoy your new books!
