"I’ve left some clues for you. If you want them, turn the page. If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.” So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the New York Times bestselling authors of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?"

Cover:

This cover could not have been designed any better! Even though it doesn't represent it's own personal story line, it does give the readers a few clues on what they might find within it's pages. The hearts in the rain and on the cross walk signal give away that it has romance! The arrow could symbolize, that both of the main characters are looking for their way; their path.

My Thoughts:

Dash & Lily's Book of Dares, is a story about growing up, and realizing that even though things might not be how they seem, situations can and will get better.

Wandering around in his favorite book store (which I'm sure we can all compare to), Dash finds a small red journal squished between a few books in the shelf. Curiosity gets the best of him, and he can't help but pull it out of the shelf, and open it.

Inside he finds a set of directions and challenges, which well drastically change his life. Instead of giving the book to the store owner like the girl's directions tell him to, he decides to take it with him, and write Lily a few of his own challenges.

Dash and Lily spend the next few weeks just send and passing this red leather notebook back and forth, and wondering and trying to imagine what the other might look and be like. When finally coming face to face, they are nothing they expected each other to be.

Dash and Lily's Book of Dares is such a cute story! Even though it takes place around December and the holidays, I think it's a perfect light read, to be enjoying in the summer, at the beach!
