Summary:
"Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what's normal when you're a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? If Clary left the world of the Shadowhunters behind, it would mean more time with her best friend, Simon, who's becoming more than a friend. But the Shadowhunting world isn't ready to let her go—especially her handsome, infuriating, newfound brother, Jace. And Clary's only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil—and also her father.
To complicate matters, someone in New York City is murdering Downworlder children. Is Valentine behind the killings—and if he is, what is he trying to do? When the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor arrives to investigate and zooms right in on Jace. How can Clary stop Valentine if Jace is willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father?"

LOVE! Every book in this series, matched perfectly and they each look fantastic! I hope the rest of the series will look just as good as the first four!
My Thoughts:
Starting to read the City of Ashes, I was a bit skeptical! I didn't really enjoy the first book very much, so I didn't really want to waste my time, and force myself to push through the second one as I did with the first.
But City of Ashes left me speechless! My jaw was dragging on the floor, the entire last one hundred pages! Every single page was intense, I couldn't stop myself from picking it up!
In this whimsical world of werewolves, vampires, and shadow hunters, a "somewhat" normal teenage girl just wants her life back. Continuing on from the first book (City of Bones), Jace and Clary continue their search for their father (Valentine) and the secrets he was keeping.
Throughout their journey both teens are faced with tough obstacles and things might just not be the way they seem. Will things between Jace and Clary stay the same? Will they deny their love for one another? Or will they get the chance to be together?! Well, you'll just have to read the book yourself to find out! (:
