My Thoughts:
Without a doubt, this book was the most action filled installment in this series so far! There were just so many feelings, and emotions, and things going on it was absolutely crazy! Tiger's Destiny has the most intense twists and turns, from any of the previous books!
Let's get all the negativity out of the way, so I start to fan girl here!
If you've read any of my other reviews of this series, than you know just how bothered I am with Kelsey and her indecisiveness between the two brothers. I thought I was annoyed then, I had no idea what I was getting myself into reading Tiger's Destiny! Kelsey spent the entire time swooning over Ren, but was dating Kishan. Sometimes it didn't even feel like she was dating Kishan, or that he was her boyfriend. It even seemed like Kelsey was avoiding him from time to time.
She practically dragged him along, knowing she had feelings for Ren. Kelsey went TOO FAR in this book, and I couldn't imagine the heartache Kishan must have felt.
Now to the good stuff...
Kishan was my favorite character in this installment, as he was in the previous three, if you know me, that isn't very surprising. Why? He isn't that "perfect" guy. I'm tired of the "perfect" guy in every YA book. They're just too smooth, and know exactly what to say, and when to say it. And Kishan is the exact opposite. He's rough, stumbles over his words, and doesn't ALWAYS know what to say. But he's loyal, and well go any distance to make Kelsey happy.
While I LOVE Kishan, I don't hate Ren. He is really nice, and I enjoyed watching him try to win Kelsey back over. It was interesting to see his reaction to not getting everything he wants, right away.
There was some cultural aspects in this book, which I've enjoyed throughout the entire series, and some talisman that needed collecting, and missions that needed completing. And yes...all that did happen, but I was much more focused on the entire romance element!
Like I said early, Tiger's Destiny was the most action packed book in the Tiger Saga! Just so much happened, and the ending was completely unexpected! Oh the ending? Completely broke my heart...in the BEST way possible. The baby? The letter? The time travel? It was absolutely crazy, and that's all I'm telling you! READ THE BOOK! (: Please?
P.S. Has any one else heard of the rumors flying around about a fifth book in this series? How is that suppose to work? This book felt pretty final to me.
Haven't read this series yet, but it does sound intriguing. Thanks for the great review, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteIts a little bit of a longer series, not with a lot of books, but LONG books. But I think you might enjoy this one, if you don't mind love triangles!
