"Kate Winters has won immortality. But if she wants a life with Henry in the Underworld, she'll have to fight for it.
Becoming immortal wasn't supposed to be the easy part. Though Kate is about to be crowned Queen of the Underworld, she's as isolated as ever. And despite her growing love for Henry, ruler of the Underworld, he's becoming ever more distant and secretive. Then, in the midst of Kate's coronation, Henry is abducted by the only being powerful enough to kill him: the King of the Titans.

As the other gods prepare for a war that could end them all, it is up to Kate to save Henry from the depths of Tartarus. But in order to navigate the endless caverns of the Underworld, Kate must enlist the help of the one person who is the greatest threat to her future.

Henry's first wife, Persephone."

Cover:

This is an ARC, so I'm not very sure if it is the final, or not! But I really do like it! I like that it follows the same theme; it goes from being Kate laying on the forest floor, totally vulnerable, to her standing, with a beautiful head piece. She went from the bottom, to the top.

The only thing I would possibly change about this cover, is make the background darker, so the white dress stands out. But this cover looks great, and matches the story perfectly!

My Thoughts:

In The Goddess Test, we leave off, with Kate spending her summer with James traveling and seeing the world for the next six months.

In Goddess Interrupted, the story starts off with Kate and James on their way back to the Eden Manor. Kate can't wait to see her mom, her best friend, and especially Henry, her husband. But to her disappointment, he isn't what he was, when she left him. Kate is always put on the back burner, Henry isn't even there when she and James arrive. she doesn't get a hug, a kiss, nothing.

Even though I hated and thought this was quite annoying, it really made the story interesting. It made me want to keep reading the book, nonstop, just so I could finally figure out what he problem was.

After Kate and her new family are attacked by the only thing capable of killing gods, Henry and a few of his "brothers" go out, trying to stop it. Feeling helpless, since Kate hasn't fully (or at all) developed her powers, she decides to go out on her own. But no best friend would let that happen, so Ava and James join her in her journey to the underworld.

The one who can honestly and truly help them is Persephone, Henry's ex-wife, and Kate's sister. Knowing this is the only way, Kate sucks it up, and starts searching.

Goddess Test, is the second book in a series written by Aimee Carter. Besides The Goddess Test and Goddess Interrupted, I have never read anything from Aimee Carter. If I had to pick which one I liked better, I honestly couldn't tell you! They were both sooo amazing, in such different ways; in the first book Kate has to fight for her life, and become Henry's wife. In the second book Kate has to (again) fight for her and her families lives, from the only thing that can kill them.

I know this book isn't out yet, but you should seriously run to the store as soon as it is! Make sure to read The Goddess Test, so you can start on the second book, as soon as it hits the shelves! This book is one of my favorite (so far) this year!
