Turning Pages's main new years resolution was to blog more often and blog with better content. No matter how hard I try, it's impossible to blog throughout a snow storm, wind storm, and when my house is one of the 300,000 that had a power outage.
No worries, I'm okay, my family is fine, and none of my neighbors or friends are hurt.
The last three days, I along with many others, here in the Northwest, didn't have any power! And let me tell ya! It wasn't warm, it wasn't fun, and I couldn't wait to finally hop into a hot shower, and for the heater to kick on!
Most areas had over a foot of snow, and even though it was nice not going to school for three days, and being able to play in the white fluff. But after the third day, I was sick and tired of being cold, wet, and having to wear ten layers! To top it off, we lost electricity that afternoon, and the house became freezing!
My neighborhood, and a few others, received power this morning around 9 am. And now, that I've survived three days without it, I'm so thankful we have it. And that we don't live in the 18th century!
I'm already writing up another post suggesting ideas, on things people can do to prepare themselves for a power outage, so make sure to check that out! Please send out prayers and good thoughts for people here in the Northwest who, don't yet have electricity(:

We usually don't have that problem here in Southeast Texas but I do feel for you. We had an ice storm back in the 90s that wiped out power for a week. It was miserable! Glad you're back up and running!
