Cover: 4/5

Two things I really love about the covers from this series; the bright colors, and the way they look standing in my bookshelf. Their simple, clean and very eye catching!

Characters-

Favorite:

My favorite character in Pretty Little Liars, has to be Spencer. I know how it feels always being in the shadow of your over-achieving older sibling, and always feeling like you have to do better than them and prove yourself.

Even though, Spencer is very different from me, she's the one that I can compare to the most. Not like Hanna, who has problems with the way she looks, or Aria who loves someone she shouldn't, or even Emily who doesn't want to swim anymore.

Least Favorite:

I don't think I have a least favorite character, but sometimes people in the story did things that would frustrate me, and make me want to grab their shoulders and shake some sense into them!

Like Hanna and her "diet"! Why would you do that to yourself? If you want to lose weight, so it the old fashion way, go running or swimming. I think if she would have done that instead of making herself throw up, she would be a lot healthier and more confident.

Not only Hanna's situation made me feel anger, but a couple of other things too. Like the way Spencer's older sister acted, and the way Hanna wanted sex from Sean (her boyfriend).

Story Line:

During the seventh grade, Alison, Hanna, Spencer, Aria and Emily were all best friends and inseparable. But when Alison disappeared that year everything changed for these girls; did their dirty little secrets disappear along with Alison?

After Alison vanished it almost seemed like Hanna, Aria, Spencer and Emily had nothing in common, and started to drift apart, each having their own friends.

When Junior year of high school approached and Aria just moved back from Iceland, weird things start to happen. Weird things besides Hanna causing herself to throw up, Emily falling for the new girl at school, Spencer trying to out do her sister, and Aria kissing her English teacher.

I had a lot of fun reading Pretty Little Liars, and I can't wait to re-read the rest of the series too. What I really like is how different the four main characters are! Any teenage girl can read this book and be able to compare with at least one of this girls!

If you haven't read this series, and you like lots and LOTS of drama, or you just really love the show you should definitely check out the books! They have so much more detail and drama(:

*Sorry about not having a video up, my webcam was acting weird this morning. But I'll try again later!*

Title: Indelible.
Author: Lani Woodland

Summary:

"Sixteen-year-old Yara Silva has always known that ghosts walk alongside the living. Her grandma, like the other females in her family, is a Waker, someone who can see and communicate with ghosts. Yara grew up watching her grandmother taunted and scorned for this unusual ability and doesn t want that to be her future. She has been dreading the day when she too would see ghosts, and is relieved that the usually dominant Waker gene seems to have skipped her, letting her live a normal teenage life. However, all that changes for Yara on her first day at her elite boarding school when she discovers the gene was only lying dormant. She witnesses a dark mist attack Brent, a handsome fellow student, and rushes to his rescue. Her act of heroism draws the mist s attention, and the dark spirit begins stalking her. Yara finds herself entrenched in a sixty-year-old curse that haunts the school, threatening not only her life, but the lives of her closest friends as well. Yara soon realizes that the past she was trying to put behind her isn't going to go quietly."

Books Review #38: Matched

Title: Matched.
Author: Ally Condie.
Format: Hardback.
Pages: 366.
Series: Yes, #1.
Publisher: Dutton.
Published Date: November 30, 2010.

Summary:

"Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows he is her ideal mate . . . until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black. The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow."

Cover:

The cover is BEAUTIFUL, I love how clean and neat it looks. A lot of covers, just have too much going on for me, but I like the clean background, the girl in the bubble, and the font used to write the title(:
I can't wait to get the rest of the trilogy to see what they look like on my shelf!:D

Characters-

Favorite:

Ky and Xander! I don't know which team I am yet, but I love both of them. Their both so different, and I liked that.

Ky has this bad boy feel to him, a bad boy who would do anything for a girl he really likes.

While Xander, is the all-american kind of boy, nice and kind, his always been around, and he's the kind of guy that would bring you back home right on time.

Least Favorite:

My least favorite isn't actually a person, but it's the society in this book. I really dislike the way they run things, they don't work for the people, they control the people. From what they eat, to what they read, listen to, and who they can love.

This makes the story really interesting actually, but it would kind of suck if I had to live here xD

Story Line:

Cassia lives in a world, where the society picks everything for her. The music she listens to, the job she works, and the boy she loves. When a girl turns seventeen in this society, they get placed in a matching pool, with boys.

At the match banquet, they find out who their "perfect" match, who they will be marrying at 21, and having kids with at 24. Not everyone gets matched though, like Ky.

When Cassia gets matched with her best friend, Xander, she's really happy! Even though it's a little weird, having to be a couple, after being close friends for so long. But Cassia likes the the thought of it.

After match banquets, the couples get to learn more about each other through a microchip. But when Cassia, opens her's up, Xander's smiling face shows, but than the screen flashes another face, another face that she also knows!

I really had a great time with this book. After reading a few reviews, which said Matched was kind of boring and slow, I was having my doubts. But this book proved to me, all of those reviews were wrong. I loved it, and I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy!(:
